Frequently Asked Questions about the Alhambra of Granada

How and when will I receive my tickets? +
1. Booking confirmed
After completing your purchase, you will receive a booking confirmation email. If the tickets are nominative, you will always receive a form to complete your personal details by email, WhatsApp, and SMS. It is essential to complete it within 30 minutes after the booking in order to correctly issue the tickets.
2. Ticket delivery
Our delivery commitment is:
  • Up to 24 hours before the visit for advance bookings.
  • Up to 1 hour before the visit for bookings made less than 24 hours in advance.
Once the tickets are available, you will receive them by email and, additionally, we may send them via WhatsApp and/or SMS for your convenience. Furthermore, 24 hours before your visit, you will receive an automatic reminder through the same channels.
3. Exception: tours with on-site ticket delivery
For guided tours, tickets are not sent in advance, as they are handed directly to the customer by the guide.
  • Tickets are delivered at the meeting point, on the day and at the time of the visit.
  • The customer must go to the meeting point indicated in the booking confirmation email.
The type of tour purchased (digital delivery or on-site delivery) is clearly indicated in the booking confirmation email sent immediately after purchase.
Is the ticket to enter the Alhambra included? +
Yes, all our products include the entrance ticket to visit the Alhambra (except for the purchase of the audio guide only).
Are the tickets to the Alhambra included if I book a GUIDED TOUR? +
If you make a booking request that includes a guided tour, you will not receive your tickets by email. Once your booking is confirmed, you must go on the day and at the time of your guided tour (please arrive 15 minutes before the tour starts) to the meeting point indicated in your booking confirmation email. There, you will receive your tickets from our staff and start the visit together with your guide.
Are the tickets to the Alhambra included if I book with an AUDIO GUIDE? +
If you make a booking request with an audio guide, you must follow the instructions indicated in your booking confirmation email for its download or collection.
What documentation do I need to access the Alhambra of Granada? +
It is mandatory to carry your original physical identity document (ID card) or passport.
Can I carry my Alhambra tickets in digital format? +
Yes, no problem. Tickets can be presented in any digital format as long as the QR code is readable.
Do children need tickets to access the Alhambra and its palaces? +
Everyone needs a ticket to access the Alhambra regardless of age. Without a ticket, access to the monument will not be permitted.
Can I modify or cancel my Alhambra tickets? +
Once the booking request has been made, as published on the website and explicitly accepted during the purchase process, including the final step where acceptance of the withdrawal policy is confirmed, it will not be possible to modify the name, date, or time, nor to cancel the tickets for the Alhambra of Granada. Therefore, no refund will be granted. No exceptions apply for any reason (COVID, illness, work-related reasons, trip cancellation, etc.), as published in the public regulations of the monument (Resolution of January 16, 2020, of the Board of Trustees of the Alhambra and Generalife, approving the publication of the Visiting, Commercialization and Other Public Uses Regulations of the Alhambra and Generalife Monumental Complex and its associated assets). It states that “Purchased tickets are non-refundable, except in the following cases”:
- When the visit could not be carried out due to reasons attributable to the PAG (Board of Trustees of the Alhambra and Generalife)
- When any of the circumstances established in Article 35 of Decree 40/2017 of March 7, regulating the organization and operation of the General Treasury of the Regional Government of Andalusia and its revenue management, apply.
If a purchased service cannot be provided due to the closure of the monument, you will be entitled to a full refund, which will be made using the same payment method used to purchase the ticket.
Can I exercise the right of withdrawal? +
No, as established in Law 3/2014 of March 27, which amends the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 of November 16. As indicated in Article 103, regarding exceptions to the right of withdrawal:
l) The provision of services related to leisure activities, when the contracts provide for a specific date or execution period.
Is it possible to eat inside the Alhambra? +
Eating inside is not allowed. There are designated areas within the complex where you can eat, rest, or use the restrooms.
Is there a cloakroom service at the Alhambra and the Nasrid Palaces? +
Yes. The cloakrooms are located opposite the Palace of Charles V and are free of charge upon presentation of your Alhambra ticket.
Is the visit to the Alhambra and Generalife canceled in case of rain? +
No, the visit takes place under all weather conditions.
What happens if the Alhambra complex is closed to the public? +
On rare occasions, the monument informs us of a closure with very little notice. In this case, we can reschedule your visit for another day or refund 100% of your money. Monument closures are rare.
